Has anyone ever had one of these before? What are the critical items I need to address?

Here in California my Datsun is exempt, I don’t do shit.

Oh you have the roadster, my good friend’s dad has two, one since new and the other is a bit modified. He does all the Datsun roadster meets here in CA, I think the big one is Solvang. I have a 240Z, maybe you saw it before on here.

Of course! I love your 240z. Solvang would be a cool show to road trip down there for.

I had one done on my truck. All lights need to work obviously, horn, and so on. Nothing overly technical, they did tell me my brakes were close to being worn out.

I think I’m mostly looking at tires needing to be done, mine are cracked and have a couple bulges. Luckily I have brand news brakes!

You wouldn’t say that if you lived here. CARB, man. CAAAAAARB.

Different provinces have different standards. It’s also somewhat down to the tech who does the inspection. My Niva passed the safety inspection in MB, and less than six months later failed the SK inspection for a bunch of little bs-y reasons like cracks in lenses and shit, all of which were present during the MB inspection.
